I WAS DIAGNOSED WITH PCO 10 YEARS AGO AND HAD LAP. TO REMOVE CYST. HAVE HAD 3 KIDS AND NOW 3 YRS LATER HAVING SMALL PAIN IN RIGHT OVERY AND AL LITTLE IN LEFT. DR. DID PELVIC ULTRA SOUND AND FOUND BASEBALL SIZE CYST ON RIGHT OVERY AND WANTS TO DO LAP AGAIN TO REMOVE IT. MY BLOOD WOK CAME BACK FINE EXCEPT FOR FREE TESTOSTEROME WAS HIGH. IS IT TRULY NESCESARY TO HAVE THIS REMOVED. WILL IT CAUSE OR TURN INTO CANCER OR CAUSE OTHER TROUBLE????? I REALLY DO NOT WANT TO HAVE THIS DONE!!!! I HAVE TO MUCH TO DO TO HAVE TO RECOVER FROM A LAP. SURGERY

Hi There
In general, cysts on the ovaries are removed if they are greater than 4 cm in size, they are growing, or they are causing pain.
So i would recommend repratingan ultrasound in one month. Some ovarian tumors porduce testosterone. that is a reason to compare current anesthesiology availabilty
