is it possible that mt 2 yr old has OCD?

by maurigema7, Apr 29, 2008 05:22PM
I am a mother of 3 boys, a 4 yr old and twin 2 year olds.  My one twin was looked at for early intervention (we thought he may be autistic) but they said he was fine.  He has since shown so much growth that Im not sure why we were worried to begin with.  But now, Im noticing things he does and Im starting to worry that maybe he has OCD or something else.  For example...when we took the boiys to Applebees (2X) they give each kid 4 crayons...while my 2 other boys started coloring, my other son just rolled them in the palm of his hands.  Whenever we take him to the pediatrician, he asks for lollypop, but then procedes to poll thr lollypop on his eye for anout 5-10 mins before eating it.  He also does this with his cars.  Everything that goes in his hands, has to go to his eyes.  I also have a gate and when he walks thru it, he has to press the buttons over and over again.  He does this 9 out of 10 times.

SO my question is, is this normal behavior for a 2 year old?  am i just comparing his to his brothers (who have completely different personalities then him).  or should I be concerned that he might have something wrong?  i keep asking the ped.  but they say im crazy, hes fine.

Thank you
