My BF is HIV+, I am not.  I worry about him going down on me because he has some cavities.  Am I correct in that only if he has bleeding gums I would be at risk of transmission ?

Dear you catch HIV only if there is blood to blood contact or semen to semen contact.

There is virtually no risk in him giving you oral, regardless of the details. Nobody has ever been infected this way.
