Otoplasty Stitch Method

Have you heard anything about the Dr. Merck Stitch Method for minimally invasive otoplasty?  I am trying to get some feedback for U.S. surgeons regarding this procedure.  Thanks in advance

I have not heard of this technique, but did google it and reviewed the limited information about it.  It is basically a simple one stitch technque to fix prominent ears.  While this technique undoubtedly works to some degree, it does not address the complexity and individuality of problems associated with ear prominence.  The priced for this procedure is also pretty steep.  This limited procedure undoubtedly produces limited results and is not without its complications.  Buyer beware.

Thank you for you thoughtful post.  I am trying to find some U.S. patients to speak to regarding this.  Do you do Otoplasty?  From what I've learned it is not easy to get desired results.  If we (this is for my 16 year old daughter), decide to do this, I will be sure it is will a skilled surgeon.  We live in Florida, and have found a few surgeons out of state who look like they do many Otoplastys.   I
've been an R.N. (Cardiology) for many years, adn one thing I've learned is to do my homework so thank you so much for any help you can give me.

There are undoubtedly many qualified plastic surgeons in Florida who perform this procedure on a regular basis.  A good referral source would be local pediatricians.  Yes, I do perform this procedure, but you would be better served to seek a local surgeon for ease in follow-up and care.
