Testicular Pain

I am 28 and five months ago I had unprotected sex with a girl. Around 2 weeks later the tip of my penis started to itch and my testicles started to hurt with a burning sensation on the inside of my testicles. My testicles did not hurt to the touch. I noticed this more as I was on my feet all day. About five days later I got a very small amount of white discharge. So I freaked out and got one of the doctors I work with to write for some doxycycline. The discharge never came back but five days later the discomfort at the tip of my penis, swelling at tip of penis and testicular pain continued. So I went to see my doctor. There she ran all of the STD tests and all came back negative and gave me more doxy, and Flagyl. The pain in my testicles persisted so she then wrote for bactrim.  I told the girl that I slept with, so she had a pap-smear and STD tests ran and all were negative. It is now five months later and I still have testicular pain and discomfort at tip of penis. The swelling at the tip of my penis is still there but does not hurt to the touch. The tip of my penis never hurt to the touch. I have seen a urologist. He is old school and just wrote me for a steroid pack. This did not help. Any suggestions?

I cannot think of situation that would give the symptoms that you describe. The glans swelling  could be an allergic response to a new soap (clothing or bath) or to any substance that might be touching it. Could it have something to do with a medicine that was started around the time when this first started.?
Could anxiety have a place in this as there are no signs, only symptoms. If nothing further is found, I think that you should consider a medication that has little side effects and can take the edge off anxiety, My favorite is Librium.
Good luck!
