Anyone Else?

by shoobie33, Apr 30, 2008 12:10AM
I was diagnosed with depression yesterday. I was just wondering if anyone else has gone through what I have been going through for the past 2 months.  In a nutshell every day at different times I find myself not feeling well.  A lot of times I feel good in the morning into the early afternoon then get hit with this feeling but later in the night I go back to feeling good again.  Some days are better than others.  At first doctors thought it was a virus but after blood work came back great and mono was negative my doctor and I thought about depression.  I have been going through lots of stress at home and grandmother passed away suddenly early in the year. I know that depression can affect a person physically so I was wondering if anyone else has gone through this feeling of well "not feeling well".  I started on Wellbutrin today and would like some feedback.  Thanks.

I guess what you're describing is psychosomatics...

Another way to explain that phenomena is:
You're hungry. You signalize to the hunger that it won't be stilled. The hunger flares more, and in return it gives you a headache. You still don't do anything about it. The hunger tries time on time to tell you "hey, feed me!"

You end up fainting because your bloodsugar drops and that was the more drastical ways of the hunger to tell you to aware it.

Depression? Pretty much the same way, but it gives many other clues.

My route with learning what psychosomatics was... You can read my journal entry about it:

I hope you find relief in the antidepressants!
