other Levemir substitute?

by jjmd3, Apr 30, 2008 02:55AM
Good day!
My mom is a type II diabetic. She is currently in Saudi Arabia and taking Levemir Penfill. She said that it worked for her once a day. Unfortunately, that drug is scarcely available in that area. What would be a good substitute for Levemir? By the way, my mom is already 62 years old. She has no other medication other than Glucoiphage 1gm BID and Glibinclamide 5mg BID.
Thank you very much.

This discussion is related to Lantus BID vs Levemir Basal Insulin.

It sounds like you wanted the expert board for a doctor to answer...look to the right where it says related  expert forums.
