Fastin in healthfood store

by Amy904, Apr 30, 2008 07:36AM
Yesterday I went to the health food store to see if they carried Nopalina (which they didn't, nor had they heard of it)
but I noticed a product for weight loss with the name Fastin on it, now I currently take Phentermine and I have gathered that Fastin, among others is the same product as Fastin, if this is so, how could they sell this? Has anyone else found this product in a store?

Yes, it was spelled Fastin and had  "TM" for trademark on it.They sell it for $89, I didn't look to see how many pills or capsules were in it for that price. But, I know you have to have a prescription for it, I was surprised to find it there ( if it is really what it is )
I wonder if anyone else has seen the same product and if they read the package it comes in.BTW, I wrote something incorrectly in my original post. The correct sentence should read"I gathered that Fastin, among others, is the same product as PHENTERMINE" Also, thanks for the advice about trying it before you spend that much$$$$$, I hadn't thought of that, but, I am getting Phentermine through a dr.,so I won't be buying any, however, I may still ask for a sample from the store just to see what it's about.

You are right Fastin is Phentermine but it must be sold with a valid prescription so it sounds like someone hijacked the name and is selling it until they get caught. I take Phentermine or Fastin, whichever the doc writes and I have to fill it at a pharmacy. I would keep your money, I know it can't be real since it's illegal to dispense without an RX.
I have heard that Hydroxycut is a really good product. It was rated on a website that rates all those products you see on TV. They gave it 5 stars. I've never tried it but the price has come down & it may be worth a shot. I have gotten used to phentermine over the years and it doesn't help me anymore.
Best of luck,
Erin

For those looking, phentermine was taken out of fastin in 1998 after hi-tech pharmacueticals bought the name. There is something else in it, that is a nervous system stimulant, however it is now an herbal formula. It is NOT phentermine, which is why you do not need an RX anymore.
