Pain in leg

by sofa weight, Apr 30, 2008 09:31AM
I have sever pain in my leg that feels like a TENs unit turn up way too high that is not very bad if laying down or walking, but that gets pretty bad if I stnad in place and that is almost unbearable if I am sitting. I have had every possible test (Ct, myelogram, MRI) done on my back and all is normal. It has been since october that I have had this pain, and the cause hasn't been found. Can you tell me what could be causing the pain? I really need it to be stopped. I also have mild neuropathy in my hands and feet. The numbness doesn't bother me too much. It just means that either I can't feel some things or that they feel odd. I take prednisone for arthritis, lyrica for pain, and also am on a fentanyl patch. Even with the fentanyl and lyrica, the pain in my leg still is unbearable. Please let me know if you have any idea where the nerve could be pinched off. it is following the path of what would seem like L5 and S1 (L5 when sitting and S1 when standing).

To: Anyone
I still have the pain. I would like some input if y'all have some. What I am looking for are possibilities for what could be causing the nerves to get pinched outside of my spine because my spine is just fine. Any ideas? I would like to be able to go to a movie or do many of those things in life that people do sitting down.
