Is that why

It's so nice to be able to ask a professional questions on the net . Sometimes I'm so busy dealing with the reason I have my eye appt  that  I don't want to bother him with questions that might be "cosmetic" in nature...( it just sounds so vain).  Anyway, when I go to my optomitrist he tells me that I can't wear contacts.  I'm not quite sure why though.  About 2 years ago I poked myself in the eye with a mascara wand and after flushing it out with Murine I found I had a white speck in it that never went away. Is that maybe why he says I won't be able to wear contacts ( because they won't stay "flush" on the eyeball)?  If that is the case, could I have it removed via laser or some other method so that I could eventually wear them?.....Hope I can...

You know those questions can only be answered by the optometrist.  My advise see a Eye MD physician ophthalmologist and discuss contacts or even lasik.
