Hi there.

The Mycobacterium type of microorganisms are usually unique in a sense that they tend to grow slowly but is very hard to treat.  During the course of their life span, the microorganism has already caused enough damage to the involved tissue.  The treatment for infections like these usually takes a lot of time and loads of antibiotics.  Surgical procedures can also help hasten the course by removing necrotic areas that may harbor the microorganisms.  It would really take a lot of patience and understanding in treating cases like these and I hope you will be strong and continue with your treatment since any discontinuation of treatment can cause bacterial drug resistance.

Regards and God bless.
