Obagi Nu-Derm irritation after 14 weeks

by cyclingbetty, May 01, 2008 11:06AM
I'm 39 yrs old, Amerasian, and have been using Obagi Nu-Derm as prescribed for 14 weeks.  I've had the usual reaction of peeling and redness, not much dryness or tightness.  All improving until this week, when I started swimming in a pool 2 days/week.  My skin is now dry, tight, peeling, and very red & stings.  Only on my face, so it must have something to do with the Obagi.  My PS is not very helpful.  Should I stop the Clear, Blender, Exoderm, and RetinA until it calms down some?

thanks very much for any advice

The problem is most likely sun exposure with acute irritation.  I would advise staying out of the sun and stopping the Retin A until your reaction subsides.
