Potty training regression in a 4 year old

by childlifestudent, May 01, 2008 04:32PM
I am a Child Life student and I am working on a clinical case scenario. Part of the case study involves a 4 year old who was admitted to the hospital 6 months ago for End Stage Renal disease. Before admittance, she was fully potty trained. Because of her illness she has to relearn this daily living skill. 2 weeks ago she was switched from diapers to underwear but has multiple accidents each day and cries when she does.

My question is: What are some intervention strategies that could be implemented to help this child reverse her regressive behavior?
