I read on this post one time about some thoughts on tapering off TX at end of treatment to reduce shock to system?
Does anybody have any info or link to study that was mentioned?
By the way , 25th week (of 52 ) tx  UND by week 8 - saw doc today and he said he hasn't seen anyone handle
TX so well so maybe I should consider 72 weeks -- WTF? I sure aint liking it that much , maybe I need to complain more.
But anyway stay positive , it helps.

some discussion about tapering off is to help your body build up its own interferon so to stay stong continuing to fight any remnents of any HCV that may be hiding.

what your doc said may make sense, there is a theory that if you do not have many side effects from treatment then it may not be working but with an UNDE at week 8 it must be working. have you had any other VL tests other then 8 weeks? you should of had one at 12 & 24 weeks. best of luck
