You need to follow up on this . it could just be something as simple as allergies but it also could be infection. don't put this off. Don't try to self diagnose. Go be seen and get this taken care of. You don't want to risk your eye health!
You really don't have to worry about transmitting your genital herpes to your eyes. Just washing your hands after using the bathroom is all it takes. I also hope you wash your hands before putting in your contacts or removing them too which is all it takes.
also lysine isn't really going to do anything to protect your partners from hsv2 if you are in a discordant relationship. It's fine if it seems to be working for you to keep your obvious ob's to a minimum but keep in mind that it's more than just the number of ob's you are having if you are in a relationship where both partners aren't infected. Also depending on how you were diagnosed with hsv2 - you might want to get a type specific herpes igg blood test to confirm that indeed it is hsv2 you have and not actually hsv1 genitally.
