tingling hands feet, muscle twitches

by redtaytom, May 02, 2008 10:30AM
We just lost our puppy to Vasculitis with the possibility of Lymes Disease from a tick (he had also had the Lyme vaccination so it is unknown cause but the vets think it was a tick).  I live in Florida.  I did once recently find a tick on me there was one small bump.  Over the last two months I have been having twitches throughout my body.  They are in my hand then jump to my back jump to my foot.  They come and go but mostly are around.  My hands and feet also tingle.  My arm and leg muscles feel a bit weak kind of like I just ran a mile and their exhausted.  I can feel them kind of shaking while my husband when he touches them, does not feel anything.

My GP on Monday suggested taking Magnesium and B complex.  I was previously taking Magnesium but had stopped.  I bought a Calcuim Magnesium powder and have begun taking it.  So far no change in the spasms, tingling and whatever is going on with my arm and leg muscles.

My Dad has Parkinsons, and I have read about ALS and am really scared.  I asked my GP if I should get checked for Lymes and he said in Florida that no it I shouldn't.  I am now really stressed out and wondering what I should do and how I should proceed.  Do I need to have bloodwork and how long should I take suppliments?
