Mucus strands in the urine sample may suggest an underlying infection. This may not be something significant. If there are no symptoms of increase in urinary frequency, pain or burning in urination and urinary urgency ,this may not require further intervention.
Drink plenty of water and engage in regular exercises everyday. You may have a repeat urinalysis done to see if the mucus strands are still present.
Were other elements in your urinalysis within normal range?
