Your gall bladder surgery shouldn't have anything to do with you not being able to get pregnant. I had my gall bladder out in October of 2006 and I am now 30 weeks pregnant. I was not told any risks about the surgery affecting fertility and since it is a fairly common procedure and they don't go near your reproductive organs than I would assume that is not the reason you are not getting pregnant. The only reason it took me 8 months to get pregnant was because I actually had reproductive problems, it wasn't at all because of my gall bladder surgery. Anyway, 6-7 months TTC is not that long anyway, most doctors won't suspect a problem until it's been at least a year. I know there are many women on this forum who have been trying longer than 6-7 months. Either way, if you are concerned that there may be an issue it wouldn't hurt to bring it up to your doctor and see what they say about it. I hope all works out for you.

Shannon125 is correct in saying that a cholesystectomy would not affect your ability to conceive at all.......Whether or not they did it laprascopically or open, the gallbladder is nestled in an area nowhere near your reproductive organs........I can understand your frustration though, after trying for several months with no luck....it makes you think of every little thing that may be wrong....but your surgery should not affect this......
As Shannon mentioned, if this is really getting to you and bothering you, you may want to schedule an annual exam with your OB......But again, until you've tried for 1 year with no luck, I don't believe that they will test for fertility issues.
Good luck....

ps....It took me 5 months of diligently trying the 1st time (ended in M/C) and 3 months again this time......
