Low Hcg levels

Hello Dr...

I had my second cycle of IVF with fresh embryos (3) one of which was grade1 and the rest grade 2. I had them transferred on day 5 and according to Dr. they looked very good and endometrial lining was good too. The transfer was done on April 23 and I Had a blood test done on May1 ( yesd.) Hcg level is 1.8 and I was told it was negative. I somehow am hopeful that it might work out. Help me if I am wrong. Is it possible to be pregnant ? I have insisted on a second test this mon. since I have an asian (indian) ethnicity I am convincing myself that there may be variations from the normal values. Please help.
