Protiein in urine, rib, flank and back pain for months

by Dawnburns1970, May 02, 2008 02:18PM
HI
Does anyone out there have chronic pain near their righ rib, flank area into the back?  This has been going on for months.  Had my gallbladder removed in December, now having protein in urine, now anemic and am wondering if all this isn't linked.  My dr's seem relectant to do anything until you push them.  My dr believes it could be kidney stone, kidney infection or pancreatitis and I'm HOME sitting and wondering is this safe to be sitting here with any of those conditions.

I finally went to get an ultrasound and xray of the abdomen, which showed some kind of circular grey/blak area right in the rib area where the pain is.  I have been experiencing severe fatigue as well.

I am glad that they finally did a US on you....maybe they should do some more imaging on you like a CT scan. That would show much more detail as to what is going on....Has your doctor run any tests on your kidneys? Flank pain, protein in the urine and anemia could mean issues with the kidney. I am not a doctor, I am just putting ideas on the table. Either way, I would push for more testing....Sunny
