Doctor,

I had an IUD put in in 2001. I had it removed MAR 20. I had my regular cycle on APR 1. Today is MAY 1 and no cycle. I took 2 test and negative they are. I have slight cramping in my lower abdomen area and nipples are really tender. I was wondering if I could be pregnant or can my cycle now be irregular. It has never been irregular before. What do you think I should do next.

Thank you

Hello,

Having had the IUD should not alter your menstrual cycle.  If you think you might be pregnant repeat an HPT in one week.

Best regards,

Dr. Downing
