IUI/Clomid/HCG

I am trying to conceive since a year. I am 31 and my hubby is 37.I am on metformin 500mg for the past 6 months.
My issue is I don't ovulate on my own and hence took clomid 50mg for 4 cycles. I ovulated successfully but did not conceive. I tried IUI/Clomid/HCG trigger last month but that also failed. My husband's sperm count was good . Post wash it was 40million and 70% motility. I just had one follicle an dnot sure if that is a problem.
I have my 2nd iui/clomid/HCG cycle on may10 and am just praying that its a success. Is there anything that i can do to improve my chances.should i take any vitamins. Am just taking Prenatal vitamins.
Please advise.

Sounds like you are doing everything possibe. The only thing i am going to try, if I have to, is accupuncture.  I have heard several success stories and am planning on that along with clomid and IUI for June.  I am on CD 28 and hoping I am preg. and wont need to but that is the plan just in case.  Good luck to you and wishing you SSBD. Welcome to the forum!  Have you cut back on caffeine? Sometimes that can help.

Yes,i stopped taking anything having caffeine for the past 6-8 months.

If this doesn't work again..may be i will have to move to injectibles..am losing my patience.

I should have my IUI this Thursday, if all goes as planned.  It will be c#2 for me.  I am on the same regimen as you, it seems, although I get an double dose injection of bravelle.  Two days after the shot, I go for blood work and ultrasound.  Then, if all is good, I get the trigger shot.  Last cycle I had 2 good follies.

I am currently trying Reiki and massage therapy, to help me stay relaxed and mentally sound!  These are alternatives you may want to include in addition to the process. I also started seeing a nutrionist to help out with my diet, especially since I have PCOS.  It's tough for me trying to get all of my veggies and fruits in but its helping, if anything, my overall health.

Looks like we might both be in just about the same time for the TTW (two week wait).

We will be very close in our 2ww! I am on my 2nd cycle of clomid/hcg/iui. Last month i only produced 1 egg on 50mg so this month they upped it to 100mg. i had my u/s today, and had 2 mature follies! Yay!! My lining was also perfect, sometimes clomid can make it thin so i always worry about my lining. Since everything was ready to go, i will do my hcg shot tonight and iui on wednesday morning, the 7th. So you'll just be 3 days behind me. I don't know if you're already doing this, this month we're also trying preseed. I have heard nothing but good things about that. I wish the mail would hurry up and get here, because my 2nd order will be here today. Today is our last day to bd before our iui, so we'll use it today and the day after iui to insure that my ovulation is covered. Hoping we all get our BFP this month! Keep in touch since we'll be so close in our cycles!

well, I have 3  good follies for this cycle and my lining looks fine!  I have to wait to get the results from my blood work but I should get the trigger shot tonight and then the IUI on Thursday.  I also found out that my DH's sa was really good on the last try.

Im taking 3 follies as a good indication, since I only had 2 last cycle.  However, I know this still doesn't mean anything if the egg and sperm don't connect....

Yay!! I love having people so close to me in the 2ww!! I've decided this month i'm not going to question every little symptom i have, like i did last month! It just stresses me out, and i need to try to stay as relaxed as possible. Are all your follies on one side, or do you have some on both sides? I was hoping i would have 1 on each side, that way there would be no wrong side for the spermies swim up to b/c there'd be an egg waiting in each side. But both my follies are on my right side. So that sucks, but at least i have more then 1. Good luck to you, and keep in touch! I haven't even had my iui yet, and i'm already thinking about when i'm going to test! :) I won't test until af is due, on the 21st. Hoping this is the month, but we'll just have to wait and see!!

Yahoo is right!  I had 2 good follies on my right and one good one on my left. That's a first for me.
I completely read into every sign and symptom last ttw.  i drove myself batty and of course, I tested 3x before my blood test. I will not being doing that again!  Plus, i charted my bbt last time and Im not doing that this time, either!   I have already penciled in my test, which will be on May 22, so I know exactly how you feel since Im not 100% sure yet if its a go for tomorrow since I am still waiting to hear about my labs.

Here's to 2 good follies! Good vibes for a great cycle!  I hope we all get what we want!!!!

Great news from both of you!  I go in for my cd8 u/s today and cd6 u/s showed 8 follies.  15, 11 1/2, 11, 9, 9, 8, 7, and 6.  My lining was a 7.1.  I am really excited to see how much they have grown since Sunday.  I know the 15 is going to be too big by the time I ovulate, but I am hoping to make the 11 1/2, 11, 9,and 9 mature enough for ovulation.  Here's to good follies for all of us!!!

I just found out Im a go for the IUI on Thursday!  My nurse remarked how this looks like a really good cycle, with my lining and follies.  Ill allow myself the next hour to be excited and then its back to trying to be low key!

I've had success getting pregnant with acupuncture and cutting out caffeine (m/c 3 times because of a genetic balanced translocation, but I can certainly get preggers).  Good luck!

Good luck today with your iui! Yay!!! We will be so close afterall!!! That's awesome that your follies weren't all on one side! That gives you a great chance this month! Good luck! I really hope this is it for us and for all of us in our 2ww!  
4angie- How did your u/s go? I hope they are growing and growing! Good luck and let us know! If everything is good with your follies, will you do iui this cycle? Let us know so we can all keep in touch in our 2ww!
