best effective scar treatments

by Lisa1977, May 02, 2008 07:18PM

I had a beast lift with implants and a tummy tuck on April 22 2008. I have keloid skin, and although I know that there will be scarring. I would like to know which manufactures of silicone gel sheets/strips come highly recommended for their effectiveness and most visible results. So far some manufacturers names I have come across on the net are Rejuveness, Scarguard and Scar Fx as well as Biothermis. Please help, I really would appreciate medical feedback!

Sincerely tucked & lifted, Lisa!

I know of no clinical trials that distinguish one product from another.  They are probably all of help to some degree, but no one product will guarantee success.  Your plastic surgeon should follow you closely and may intervene with treatments like steroid injections if he/she  deems them appropriate.
