Joint Pain

by luvedeternally, May 02, 2008 08:33PM
I am a 37 year old female that moves around half the time like a 90 year old woman.  My ana testing is coming up negative but my joints are really painful.  To the point that I am almost in tears.  The Rhuemotologist in the area is refusing to waste their time because of the ana results.  Any other suggestions.  I have my whole life ahead of me and teenagers to still run after.  :)

Please don't despair, and do not let that doctor get to you.  Find yourself another rheumy asap.  I was an athlete and literally woke up one day and could not move a muscle/joint in my body.  After seeing 3 doctors I was dx with Ankoylosing Spondylitis and Reactive Arthritis.  My sed rate was 110 and I tested positive for the gene marker HLA-B27.  Please ask any questions you want, I will try and help you as best I can based on my own experience.  Remember there are 100 different types of arthritis, do not give up and do not allow anyone to dismiss you.  Get copies of all your tests as well.  Please stay in touch with me.
