Car Accident, Brain lesion???????

by lilhollywood, May 03, 2008 02:44PM
Try to keep up... I got into a car wreck on march 30th, woke up april 1st with stitches and staples to my forehead and double vision because I hit the windshield....
( i always wear my belt, this classic car didnt have one and went outta control, hit a tree) I supposadly had a massive concussion which I believe; otherwise I wouldnt of been out cold for two days, but I got an MRI with contrast three weeks later, and a Cat scan... My MRI shows a Medullary Mass or lesion thats 1.2 CM wide and they dont know what it is, odds are im going to have to do a biopsy, which im 100% fine with so they can make sure its not a cancer or a tumor or anything like that. my question is... is there anywayy that this could be accident related because I had the MRI 3 weeks later, and wouldnt that have been enough time for my brain to heal up? The twodoctors I have seen have both said its not accident related. Has anyone ever heard of anything like this?

My symptoms are Double Vision, Occasionally Tired, occassional short term memory which is clearing up, short temper, and occasional loss of balance.... the same symptoms for both  head inujry, and for a tumor.. wtf???

Lemme know what you think, anything will do.

Hello Dear,

It is proabaly due to the preexisting medullary space occuping lesion which incidently has been revelead on the CT MRI scan.
Be watchful for the increase in symptoms like vomiting, worsening of double vision.
Consult your neurosurgeon if the mass can be operated.
