aortic valve replacement

I have had a heart murmur for 30 yearss. In the last 2 years it has got worse. I was told I need a valve replacement. I am 55 years old. What are my chances of surviving the surgery. Other than this I am pretty healthy.

my grandfather had vavle replacement surgery on 2 different occassopns. the first one was when he was 58 and the 2nd was when he was 70. he came through them both with flying colors and he was not in perfect health but in good medical condition
