Double vision recovery

by lilhollywood, May 03, 2008 05:56PM
I got into a car accident and was outcold for two days, i woke up in bed and had double vision, i went and saw a neurologist who said I may have damage to a nerve in my left eye, i went to an eye doctor who said i have nerve damage in my right eye but they thought it would heal up.  my question is how llong does it take for this to heal?
My head hit the windshield and I had a very serious brain concussion but its been a month and either my eyes are gettin worse or they are realigning because I cant see as far as i use to when i woke up the first day. im 22/m

I cannot say how long it will take and you need to also know that it could be permanant.  In very general terms, if the damaged nerve does not start recovering withing 3 to 6 months - it might not get better.  I wonder if you have a 4th nerve palsy?  Your ophthalmologist should be able to follow you and tell you how you are doing and what your prognosis is.
