3 years and 4 months NON STOP HEADACHE

by keegs257, May 04, 2008 12:51AM
Hey, my names keegan and i am a 24 yr old male from Australia . I have had a non stop headache for 3 years and 4 months, ive seen about 40 health specialts including Pycholigists, Pyschiatrists, Neuroligists, had scans, had every alternative therpay avaliable, tried anti deps, anti anxiety meds and basically everybody agrees it is still psychological. They say in rare cases trauma at a young age can come back in pyshical symptons later in life. The pain has also spread through face and ears and down arms at times.Sometimes after going to pyshios or chiros my pain levels go down but they have never once left. I have been close to suicidal from the chronic pain and now i spend most my time trying to get my mind of the pain because it becomes self obsessive and you become narcisitic. So my question is has anybody heard of anxiety related incidents in childhood causing chronic pain to somebody 15 years later for years on end?  Its a living hell but i am trying to have hope that healing is possible.
i dont really know how this site works but I would love to hear from you

Hi Keegan

I suffer with daily chronic tension headaches and have existing panic disorder.  Stress is the central cause of headaches so you need to elininate any stress in your life in order to make a full recovery.  You need to sleep more, take gentle exercise and do whatever it takes to make you happy.  Sort out all the stresses in your life and the headaches will decrease.  Good Luck.

One more thing...I had quite a difficult childhood and my anxiety began at thirty.  Sometimes we try to put bad things in the back of our minds and forget about it.  You need to deal with stress as it happens or you will hide it in your sub conscious for it to rear it's ugly head years later.  Think of everything you have been through and accept it, always be positive that there is light at the end of tunnel and you can make a full recovery.
