So we just about finished Sky's room and it looks amazing. I was being stuborn and absolutly insisted that I hang her curtians...even though Ivan kept telling me to let him do it..but of course i didn't. So anyway while i was up on the step laddar it collapsed and my leg ended up getting stuck in it and i fell straight down. i ended up on the floor and at first i thought i was ok until i tried to get up and that when most of the pain started. i couldn't move my leg at all. We had to call and abulance, and luckily my neighbor is the fire marshall so him and his wife were there imediatly. I didn't hit my stomach at all but i was in horrible pain and thought that i had broken my leg. So once all of the medic's and EMT's where there the trouble was trying to get me out of the room and down the stairs, which at my house is VERY difficult. They didn't know how they were going to be able to do it b/c my stairs are so narrow and step that it left the stumped especially b/c they couldn't move my leg from the position that it was in. So while they were trying to figure that out a few other people were tending to me. Apparently I was hyperventalating, i got super hot, and dizzy and i felt like i wasn't really there, i could hear everyone but it felt like i was going in and out of it. anyway they finally got me out and into the ambulance, the ride was horribly painful i was being rocked everywhere....every little bump made it excrusiating. Long story short i ended up fracturing my knee and i can't move on my own, so i am pretty much screwed. They check they baby out and as always he is doing great. So i might not be "walking" down the aisle....but i am still getting married. So that is how my weekend has been how bout you?

Take it easy!!!!! Well, you can always decorate a cane or a walker with some flowers and little pearls!!! I am glad that it isn't anything more serious!! I hope that knee heals up before delivery!!!

I'm not even going to fuss at you, but you know better than that! We all get impatient and hardheaded and want things done when we want them, but now you have to be careful. Is the fracture going to effect the delivery?

oh hun, when i answered your note i had completely forgot that your wedding was comming up! i agree w/ precious about doing something creative to get you down the aisle... and you better be taking it easy!!! i know that's hard for a mom to do!!! :)

I feel completely helpless. I hate having to depend on other people to do things for me. I am in sooo much pain its rediculous, and i have been trying to avoid taking anything for it. The baby seems to have moved, and is now in a horrible position, he is WAY over on my left side, pretty much all the way over there. I'll do my best to take it easy. I hope that it heals before this little man comes out, i have to follow up with an orthopedic doctor in a week to find out if it will need surgery or not. if i do then it will have to be after i have the baby.

If you are not able to bend your knee by the time of delivery, are they going to have to do a c-section? This is going to be my 3rd delivery, and I can't imagine having to do it with one of my legs down!!

LOL i am hoping that it will be partial if not all the way healed by then. I DO NOT want to have to have a csection if the only reason is that i cant bend my leg. Then i would be really screwed, a bum leg, and cut across my belly, a newborn and a 2 year old.....what the hell would i do?! I haven't got to se my regular doctor since this happened on saturday, and i still have to make an appointment with an orthopedic doctor and see what they say.
