Daughter can't sleep because of coughing

by colleen0795, May 04, 2008 10:35AM
Hi there, our almost three year old daughter has had an ongoing battle with a dry nighttime cough for about 5 months now. It was so bad last night she couldn't sleep and ended up throwing up. She started going to day care in November and before that she didn't have a hitch. Since then she has had strep throat and this persistant cough that I have brought her to the doctor to now about five times. The only response I've gotten is an inhaler and this has been from three different doctors. I am so frustrated that we cannot seem to solve this. She also has nasal congestion. When she coughs like she did last night she gags and throws up a white mucus. We've tried changing the humidity levels in the house but it doesn't seem to make any difference. I'm hoping someone has some advice. Thanks.
