Are you using cold water when you wash your mouth?
Peeling of the lips may be due to dehydration, a fungal infection, dermatitis or a nutritional deficiency. Are there any particular factors which seemed to have initiated this? Any change in the brand of cosmetic, toothpaste or facial cleanser? Any known allergies to food?
The whiteness that you have noted may be due to the reaction of lip blood vessels to cold. With peeling of the lips' skin ,this may alter the lip's reddish color which is largely due to the underlying blood vessels.
I understand your concern. You may need topical medications for this. I suggest that you have this assessed by a dermatologist.
You are concerned with this being caused by saliva or blood. Is there any significant history which suggests this?
okay, i have been using the same cosmetics, facial cleaner, and toothpaste for quite some time i guess. and my food intake has always been the same.
my lips never experienced dis problem until recently when i went to the club. and while drunk, i let this guy french kiss me for abt 5 secs twice. when i got back, i realised there was a cut on my tongue..
and two wks aft that, i got diarhhoea for a wk, with a day of fever. and my lips starting peeling. it stopped for awhile and came back again until now..
i couldnt think of any other reason for this peeling, so im worried..
could it be caught from him?
thank u vanessa for ur response...
