This patient support community is for discussions relating to angina, angioplasty, arrhythmia, bypass surgery, cardiomyopathy, coronary artery disease, defibrillator, heart attack, heart disease, high blood pressure, mitral valve, pacemaker, PAD, stenosis, and stress tests.
The procedure itself isn't so bad, just sounds worse than it is. They do give you meds so you float in and out of consciousness. Most people remember going in to the room and getting things ready but then poof! it's over. Check with the arrhythmia board. You'll see.
The procedure wasn't really scary at all...I was pretty much knocked out for both of mine and spent the night in the hospital (just a doctors preference)...but I know that some are done out-pt.
