MY KNEE POPPED WHILE SITTING DOWN

by PPKAGA, May 05, 2008 03:08PM
Four weeks ago I had ACL and Meniscus surgery.  Yesterday I was sitting in my chair and felt a stretch in the back part of my knee then a pop.  Immediately feeling a buring for approx. 20 minutes.  I was able to walk very slowly but severe pain at times.  For two hours I was not able to put any pressure on the back of my knee.  Today I am still sore...I do not see my doctor for another two weeks and concerned.  Any suggestions or input as to what could have happened would be appreciated.

Hello Dear,
Surgery  sometimes may lead to complications like loss of range of motion, anterior knee pain, persistent pain and swelling, and residual ligament laxity due to graft failure. You should consult a physical  therapist.Sometimes the pain may be postoperative and may resolve on its own.Take care and see your orthopaedic surgeon as soo as possible.
