legs twitching when awake

My son is now 3 months old and he's had leg twitching since he was born but it normally happens when hes eating or while hes awake. Doesnt happen that much while he sleeps which I have read that most parents say that it happens to there kids whill they sleep. So should it still be happening at 3 months of age.
