Question about symptoms

by 333878, May 06, 2008 04:00AM
Hi, over the past few months I seem to every once in awhile have light itching in my pubic area, a slight redness on the tip of my penis, and some discomfort that feels like a slight burning.  It seems to come and go.  I also have gotten very few, very small red dots on the tip as well but don't stay to long a few times.  My tip seems to feel sensitive when this is going on.  I was wondering if this might be caused by having Herpes or any other types of STD's or whether it might be something else.  Thanks.

It doesn't sound like herpes, but might be.  It might also be a fungal infection.

You should go to get tested.  Make sure your doc includes a type specific IgG herpes blood test.

There's no reason to sit around and wait and watch it get worse.  Just get tested.
