Hypothyroid and cavities

I also face the problem of cavities.  Only after I started taking medicines for hypothyroid I started having this problem.  Regular visits to the dentist does not have much effect.  Can someone help me please

If the medication is associated with hyposalivation or xerostomia, there may be increased risk to cavities. If xerostomia is present, daily topical fluoride treatment as administered to pediatric patient is recommended. Seeing a dentist is advised.
