7 week test

by scared4878, May 06, 2008 10:04AM
Hi everyone, I am kinda worried.  Here is my situation.  I had unprotected sex with a white college girl of unknown status 7 1/2 weeks ago.  I never had a fever or a rash.  Around the same time I was put on antibiotics by my doctor for other illnesses.  I was on zithromax for 5 days and levaquin after the zithromax.  I was tested at 3 weeks and at 7 weeks, both negative.  I have felt like I have had swollen glands since the day I hooked up with her.  I know that 13 weeks is conclusive, but how promising are my prior results? Will being on those antibiotics effect my results?

scared...There are literally hundreds of threads on this already..... Sift through the Dr's forums here at medhelp.

If I were you I wouldn't give it another moments thought.  I wouldn't of given it a moment's thought to begin with.... But after the 7 week test you can consider yourself negative with this situation.

Antibiotics will not effect the results. Your results are pretty promising but go back at 12-13 weeks anyway.

Antibiotics dont afect the results, at 7 weeks your test is up to 95% accurate.

Thanks for the reply, so antibiotics will not effect the results and at 7 weeks the test is 95% accurate, which includes those with weak immune systems who take much longer to stereoconvert? So I am looking pretty good?
