Strabismus Surgery

by Mescando, May 06, 2008 05:19PM
My 9 month old Grandson was diagnosed with Strabismus and my daughter does not have any medical insurance. She is applying for medical and they are telling her that they might not be able to give it to him because he was diagnosed a month ago when he had insurance and now it is a pre-existing condition.  Do you know of any doctors that would do this surgery on a child pro bono.

Thanks!

This is a procedure that requires an ophthalmologist.  Many states have provisions for care of children with medical problems without insurance.  I suggest you check with a local eye doctor.
