Hi.  The fundus refers to the dome-like top portion of the uterus.  "Echogenic" refers to the ultrasound characteristics of the mass.  It means that the mass is made up of a solid/dense material which tends to bounce off a lot of sound waves, and appears on ultrasound as a whitish opacity (fluid and fat tends to absorb ultrasound waves, and appears dark).  So what your ultrasound report is saying is that a roughly 7 centimeter solid mass was seen on the top of your uterus.  The exact nature of that mass (whether it's cancerous or not) is still undetermined at this point.  You'll probably need a biopsy to do that.

Thank you, umm i had an endometrium biopsy done it was neg, and i had cervical biopsy done , and a colposcopy which gyn did find a few abnormal cells and took  2 biopsys. because my pap cam back abnoraml and i have high risk hpv . he said not to worry only because im gonna have a hysterectomy done in june . and he is taking out my uterus and cervix ! now on my ovaries i do have multi cysts on my right ovary biggest one being 1cm and small follicles on my left . so i guess it all depends on how they look when he opens me up . whether he takes them out or leaves them . hopeing he leaves them only because im only 31 and i dont wanna go through menopause at that age . again ty for answering my questions !! .............2young
