Ear discomfort and jaw pain after dental work

I am getting a bridge made for my bottom left side and had my mouth open for a total of 5 hours in 1 day. The pain in my jaw was severe, and my ear feels like there is something in it. There is also a noise when I chew, or open my mouth. I can't open my mouth very big yet, but it is improving. There is no clicking sound when I open and close my mouth . It is more of a whooshing sound. I have a temporary bridge in and although it is not great the bite is OK. My Dr. gave me Celebrex to bring down the inflamation but I quit taking it after 5 days because my heartbeat was fluttery and I seemed to get out of breath quite easily. That part is OK now. Is there anything else I can do?

Soft diet and heat treatment of jaw muscle may ease the discomfort. However, seeing a tmj specialist is advised.
