abstention from sexual intercourse

dear sir , a 60 year old man afflicted with prostate problems , and is obliged to sit down for long jours, and was advised to continue sexual intercourse or masturbation, which are for some reasons and mrality difficult to be practiced are ther other means to ease symptoms of non parasitic prostate.
