by LBSooner, May 02, 2007 12:00AM
I get a lot of stitch pains - kind of feels like cramps or like nerves firing randomly. Anyone else get these???

Thanks,

i get that too, i´m 21-- female. for as long as i can remember i´ve gotten it mildly, and since i was 15, after a certain difficult occurence, i´ve gotten it more frequently and severely. i´ve read lots of articles, and the whole relaxing thing rarely helps. i´ve found that putting pressure on my upper ribcage towards the center left helps releive the stinging, but only slightly. i get anxiety attacks brought on in big crowds, but more often i get them at home when i´m relaxed, sitting down or laying down and watching tv. normally it will last only 1 or 2 minutes, a bad one will last more than half an hour on an off.. and i cant take normal breaths, more like short deep gasps, each one that brings the stinging. my husbands step father is a doctor, and he and all of my previous doctors say it´s part of life, brought on by stress. true it got worse for stress and stress can trigger it... but i´m actually very good at dealing with things, and yet when i have no problems or stress or anything which normally triggers it, i get them and sometimes bad ones. i cant go more than 2 or 3 days without one, most of the time i get one a day, sometimes 2 or 3 times a day. all the ´learn to cope with stress´ stuff is no good cuz most of the pains arent caused by stress of any kind. didnt know my biological dad but i know there was a strong history of high blood pressure and heart attacks (no man lived past 50, but women to an old age) my heart pressure is good. any suggestions? i am also borderlined iron anemic, have been since i was born. sometimes iron is up and sometimes down so my doctors have said it´s unlikely related... is there anything useful? a specific food that helps? a vitamin that decreases the likeliness?
