Folks - Those of you following my questioning about poss Rheumatoid Arthritis or Fibromyalgia, etc. I posted my Quest Results from Monday's blood sucking... LOL!

http://www.medhelp.org/posts/show/510770

If any of you have ANY ideas - or thoughts --- or opinions --- I'll take them.

I probably won't get to talk to the doc anytime soon... Fri or so...

HEP functions look GREAT to me --- but there are some other questionable things going on... So anyone with any ideas... PLEASE --- pretty please - let me know.

Hugs to everyone!

I have RA, we think due to hep 1a.I posted my blood results last week. I know this isn't what your asking but maybe you could compare or something. I just seen you sent me a note and ask how my biopsy went.Sorry for not responding. Gr.1 Fibrosis 0.I've decided to treat, starting as soon as my ins. clears it.I hope you don't have RA, it sucks .
                                                                                                 Thank You, Tammy

Thanks MUCH --- I'll go compare -- but I did look at it...
My concern was the High Rheum. number --- HOW HIGH is it?

And what does it mean --- etc. etc.

LOL!

Ah life is interesting with numbers...

Hugs --- GLAD that all went well sweetie!!!!

Meki, can't help you here but I have asked a LOT about both as per my continuing muscle aches. Told we'll wait until 6mths. post to start checking for things. An odd exp. yesterday tho.....went to a GP (wierd guy so still looking for a new GP!) and he said I don't have fibromyalgia (didn't even ask him that?) after his exam of poking me in a few spots!? "Does this hurt?", etc. Well, most area's did as in the muscle or nerve, yet he said I'd be hollering....I guess??? It was pretty much a dumb a*s exam! And I paid for it! They can't possibly rule out that with about 6 pokes! I don't think I have it at all, but what's he thinking with that dx?
(done with the dumb a*s exam story, lol.)

Tammy, I see you decided to tx and if you don't mind, as per others with that low damage, what made you decide to do it now versus wait awhile?
Just curious and you can PM if you'd prefer, or say 'none ya biz' :)

To: Lady Lauri,
I decided because I want this out of me gone, no danger of my blood hurting anyone.I ask my Dr. about future treatments and he said, it may take a few years. I have had such a problem with all of this, I'm ready to get it on and I pray to God , OVER.I turned 50 the end of last year, two weeks later, you have RA.A week after, you tested positive for hep c.Then, what if I wait ? I wait, stress about my family, friends. I'm always around people.I'm healthy right now and may tolerate treatments to SVR.In a few years I may not be as healthy and then what? Last wednesday when my Dr. told me Gr.1 St.0 I was so relieved, I just want it gone.I also have the dark urine and stiff veins in my legs.My blood is working fine but am getting another blood test to see why.No way would I say , none of yo biz. I have been taught so much on this forum, it's amazing. You would have been proud whe the Dr. said, wow, you have been doing your homework ! I told him about this forum. He smiled. So did I.Thanks to all ! I do have a question. If I do start treating, my daughter won Nationals last year in kickboxing and this summer when she takes the title again, will I be able to do all the stuff involved as her mom and the whole gyms mom? They all depend on me but that's the only reason I would consider waiting.

You would have been proud when the Dr. said, wow, you have been doing your homework !

Me too:) Love it. One NP said a line about a 'chat room', I let her know we are NOT a chat room, not looking for love but cure and knowledge! (We are closer now, lol!)

All very good reasons, and well said. I know many with early damage struggle with this choice. I had some damage, this trial was going on, slipped from dx (may 07) to bx right into tx. And very glad it's behind me. As for can you keep up with all the gym duties (kickboxing rocks! Cheers to your daughter!).....it's so hard to say for each person. Are you doing 48 weeks? Didn't see a Geno on your profile. Keeping up with normal life is a struggle for many on tx, than some not. A lot of physical activity may be hard for you. Unfortunately, none know until they start the drugs. Hopefully you can or perhaps have someone help with it all.
Also, don't stress too much on putting your family at risk. Of course be more careful now, but I (many of us, perhaps you too) have had this estimated 30 years without knowing. All my sons are neg. as anyone I have dated, etc. So while being cautious, don't put too much worry on yourself there.

Good luck to you (and your daughter this year:), be watching for your tx and post,
LL

P.S. to Meki....and back to your question here, lol

It's all good, We often wander in threads. I was more joking that she's gotten no answers yet.
Meki won't mind if we 'tread in her thread' :) I don't either.

Oh heck no --- LOL!

I'm scheduled to see an internist on May 21 --- sorta rushing it - but I'm all cool with that... Better knowing than being left in the dark for 6 months waiting.

One of my friends works -- I won't say where ---- LOL - -- but said the concern is Lupus. So I guess - that until a DX is made - I can sit here thinking about Lupus -- or I can have some fun --- not worry about it much... And just let the next couple of weeks (days) go by and enjoy my life...

Ahhh --- now if I could just get the weather to cooperate.

I thought your ANA was negative; isn't that a contra indication for lupus?  Do you  have any facial rash?

I hate to hear you still have health issues after all you have been through!

It's all good babe... All good... We're given one life to lead -- and one body to play with...

I'm doing my hard core Corner Time after my Boxing match right now... LOL! And I've only had one good round with Ali... LOL!

But I'm seriously hoping that the guy with the water bottle and the guy with the cold press and vaseline knows what he's doing!

I don't know about the ANA stuff - The person who mentioned that Lupus was the concern is in an office environment where they don't know a whole heckuva lot about any of this stuff at all.

Me - I just wanna get my gloves laced up between now and then. *grin*
