Sore Neck ARS

Hi Doctor
I have a sexual encounter with a escort 6 weeks ago,(The first time I have ever been unfaithful to my wife) which involved protected vaginal sex and unprotected oral sex (receiving) I also lick her cliterus for 4 seconds before stopping.
After four days I visited the GUM clinic and was tested for Chlamydia & Gonorrhoea, results came back three weeks later as negative
Was then retested for Chlamydia at the gum request a week later and results came back a week later negative.
Afte week one I started to have a sore patch on the left side of my neck, I visited the doctors on day 12 with this and he said my lymph nodes were not swollen, bit I had a slight sore throat.
This sore throat went away within 7-10 days, I revisted the doctors on day 24 as my neck was still sore, he again check my nodes and confirmed nothing was swollen. he did however give me some cream for a rash (shaving rash on my left hand side)
Its now day 45 and I still have a sore neck on the left side during the day, the pain goes away at night (when laid down).
I have NOT had a fever, or headaches or any other obvious ARS symptons, however the sore within my neck is really getting me down and depressed... I have never had a sore neck like like before.
I went to the doctor again day 46 reference my neck, he checked the neck glands agains and stated there was no swelling, and suggested the neck pain my be related to stess, tension or anxiety
I have also emailed the escort involved and she confimed that she was tested a couple of weeks prior to the exposure and all her tests were negative including HIV.
Does the neck pain/tenderness seem to be anxiety related? as i am contantly thinking about how stupid I have been.
How long would ARS symptons normal last?

Moreover, symptoms do not mean much and could be due to any reason. Many actually infected people did not experience any symptom.
having said that, you are safe because you had protected sex. Unprotected oral is not a risk. Move on. Since you have been faithful to your wife, element of guilt adds "more value" to your stress and anxiety. Remember !
