Herpes more infectious when menstruating?

by knowledgeseeker08, May 07, 2008 02:47PM
I have just began seeing a woman who has genital herpes.  She has not had a physical outbreak in a year and a half and we are taking precautions to help minimize my chances of contracting it.  However, in regards to shedding, we are both wondering if menstruation affects this in any way.   As in is she likely to be any more infectious during menstruation?  Thanks for your help.
