another eye bubble

i searched the forum for eye bubble problems answers yes but nothing specific.
about 6 months ago i'm not sure how long ago. i had a clear fluid filled bubble on my cornea
it was really big after a day or so i got irritated and told my sister to get me some eye drops which helped and removed it.
but i would just like to know why it happened.
