Single thyroid nodule in 15yr old

by Huck740, May 07, 2008 06:21PM
My 15 yr old Daughter has hashimotos. An ultrasound found one hypoechoic nodule on the isthmus that is 1.7cm.   I have been assured that no other follow-up is needed..but, I am concerned since  I (her mother) have had papillary thyroid cancer. Would you recomend any additional studies at this point? Or is it OK to wait-and-see right now?
