If you ovulate late, your period will also be late...by about the same number of days.

hey girls, i have a question. I just recently started charting, and i am slightly confused. I started temping the day after i got off my period, which was the 27th. Every day since then my temp has been 97.9. I had my iui on wednesday, so i know that's when i ovulated but why aren't my temps going up to prove that? Is it supposed to take a couple days to go up after you ovulate? I'm lost in this whole bbt charting thing!! Please help!! :)

Nikkihope: I would say you should expect your period (or hopefully not!) on CD 31 or 32 this month then.
luvkayln: Maybe your thermometer has gone bad. I would try a different one, especially since you've had the exact same temperatureTemperature measurement every day. Good luck!
