3 months ago i got my tongue pierced, 2 weeks later i had unprotected oral sex, and 3 days after i developed some strange sores on my tongue. it seems like my tongue is irritated in certain spots. it seems like it happens more when i eat certain foods. it lookes like my taste buds are swollen. im not sure if it has anything to do with an oral std or something else, please help.

First, you should see your physician or an infectious disease specialist and request that you been screened and tested for sexually transmitted diseases.

Second, you should see a Board Certified Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon to have your tongue evaluated.  You may have an infection or allergic reaction to the material in your tongue you to the procedure itself.

i had a full set of std test and they all came up negative. i was searching on the net and found something similar to what my tongue looks like. its called geographic tongue. my doc seems not to be so worried about it, she saw it and said it didnt look like nothing. didnt want to do a swab test eaither. im guessing my best bet is to ask for a specialist and let him see it.
