My 10 year old son has small blisters on his buttocks and between his cheeks, nowhere else. I am worried that he may has caught the herpes virus which my daughter recently contracted. Can he have caught the infrection through a bath towel left astray? PLEAE help!

Hi,

Nothing can be said about the confirmed diagnosis without having a look at the lesions. It would be best to consult a doctor or skin specialist for a proper clinical examination.

This could be herpes due to the bath towel you mention.

Apply calamine lotion at the site of the lesions.

Are the lesions localised or spread out?

Let us know what your doctor advises and post us if you need any further information.

Regards.
